Professor Gibson is a member of the Florida Association of Community Colleges (FACC) and the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).

Prior to becoming a teacher, Randy acted as a private systems design consultant specializing in technical systems involving computers, data communications, room acoustics, theatrical lighting, and security and surveilance equipment. Along with his wife Toni, Randy owns an online business in Vero Beach that specializes in antiques, art, and reproductions. It allows him to purse one of his favorite interests, collecting antiques and art. E-mail pertaining to the store should be sent to randy@acquiredcollections.com.
Randy is married to Toni Gibson, co-owner of Acquired Collections, an online antique shop in Vero Beach. Toni also holds an active real estate broker's license. She is a member of the Exchange Club, the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and an avid supporter of the Riverside Theatre (and Riverside Children's Theatre Committee). Toni and Randy have no children, but are quite devoted to their myriad of pets.
Mr. Gibson's personal interests include: antiques, art, music, theatre, technology, and travel. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach, Florida, and a past Assistant District Governor for District 6930 of Rotary International on the Gold, Space, and Treasure Coasts.
